The brief

When people look for someone to watch their pet, they want to get to know the person before they look at the price. And sitters need to be found without having to run a website of their own. The app had to work on iOS, Android and the web from one shared codebase.

What I did

  1. Expo and React Native app written in TypeScript for iOS, Android and the web.
  2. Typed data model to catch errors at compile time.
  3. Navigation and sitter profiles organized around what actually matters when you're choosing someone.
  4. Interface adapted to each platform's conventions.

The result

One codebase that builds for all three platforms, with working search and sitter profiles.
